Some important information for Web Designing

Cut the crap, no mumbo - jumbo here. Refer to some basic but important points for web designing.

1. Again, Be consistent
Let me tell you this very loud and clear, be consistent with all the factors on your website. Have the same look and feel for all the pages of your website. DO not deviate from colors, effects or any other factor. This will make your website design look uniform and website visitors will be at ease while surfing through your website. You can use cascading style sheets to get an uniform look for your website.

2. Use Web safe fonts
You might like to add a bit of spice to your website by using different fonts. But, do note that not all fonts are available in all machines. Hence, itis a better idea to use Web safe fonts. This are the fonts which are present by default on all machines. If you still wish to use other fonts, convert that to an image and it will display correctly on all machines.

3. Dark Colors
There is something known as color psychology. There are few colors which attract people and some other colors which repel people from your website. Using dark colors in your website design is not a very good idea, as it gives a feeling of gloom, and makes the visitor strain their eyes to view and erad the content.

4. Minimalistic Look
Opt to give your website a minimalistic look. That is not to say that you should cut down on the content of your website. Instead, present the content in parts on many different pages. No one likes to read long web pages and also if you have long web pages, it will not download as fast.

5. Page Impression
Make sure that your website is designed in such a way that the website visitor is presented the content on the viewable part of the screen when it loads. If the website visitor does not ahve to scroll down you have made sure that his eyes fall directly on the web content that you have to present.

6. Frames -- Don't !
I have got nothing more to say, Do not use frames !

7. Contact details
Furnish all your contact detals on the website, so that it becomes easier for a potential customer to get in touch with you.
